Chinese restaurants in the United States range from steam-table lunch counters to white-tablecloth Cantonese seafood halls, and most fall somewhere in between: a laminated menu, a lunch special board, and combo plates priced a few dollars below the dinner menu. Ordering by number off the menu is normal and speeds things up, especially at takeout counters. Family-style ordering, where a table shares several dishes with rice rather than each person getting an individual entree, is standard at sit-down spots and usually cheaper per person. Many neighborhood restaurants are cash-preferred or charge a small card fee, so it is worth asking or checking the door before you order. Delivery apps cover most areas, but calling the restaurant directly is often faster and avoids the markup.
Hours are published for 6 days a week. The most common schedule is 11 am–9 pm. Note that it does not open on Tuesday. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. You can reach Kung Fu Noodle at (937) 938-9027; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions. Very authentic vibe, you go inside and it’s very small and cozy, seems like a small family running the place. Sit down and order. Food come out really surprisingly fast. It’s was very very hot and fresh. The noodles are just as good as people say! I had the Dan Dan noodles. My only complaint is the waitress told me that it wasn’t a spicy dish, only to find out it’s covered in hot chili oil. It was so spicy it was almost inedible, before my mouth was totally engulfed in flames the flavor of it was enormous and mouth water. Next time I will order with no chili oil. My wife had the basic noodles with beef broth and veggies in it. I looooved her dish, it was sooo tasty. Would highly recommend this place! Truly a hidden gem in Kettering OH.

We ordered only 1 dish and shared for 2 people since we just wanted to explore around that area. We found this restaurant on Google Maps and surprise with 4.8 stars review. It was tempting for us to drive there. My husband researched on Google and we decided to order Dan Dan noodles. We expected that we would see a show of hands stretching for the noodles that we ordered but that was not happening. We tried the noodles and found out that portion of meat was not worth compared to the price we paid. There were plenty of noodles which was good (not great) for me but it was just OK for my husband. I would not give 5 stars for the food and also the reception lady in the front was just fine. She didn't pay attention to customers that much and her behavior seemed like she was unwilling to take care of us. However, I like how they decorate a small restaurant with pretty cat's photos. We may not go back to the restaurant again but still recommend you to try.

I tried Kung Fu Noodle for the first time today. This is a very authentic noodle house. I got the Classic Lanzhou Beef Noodle Soup. The soup was great I particularly enjoyed the hot chili's on the side so it could be made as spicy as you like. If you are a fan of a traditional noodle house this place is most definitely worth checking out.

This place is LEGIT!!! We used to live in Columbus area and frequented the location there. Then we moved to Xenia and this location has become our to go place for authentic Chinese noodle Everything we have tried so far has been outstanding. The hand stretched noodle, the knife shaved noodle, the spicy wonton, the skewers, the stew beef noodle soup, anything on the menu is GOLD. the service is always quick and friendly, you can’t ask for more from a local noodle joint!

As a noodle lover, it’s been very difficult to find a good noodle place here in Dayton. Their “Lanzhou Noodle” brought me here, and it didn’t disappoint at all! The portion was surprisingly huge, with generous meat and toppings. Its warmth and soft broth somehow reminded me of the soup your mother used to make when you were sick—simply comforting—though I honestly was expecting something spicy with a lot of kick. Their sides were just okay—nothing special—but I really liked the beef tripe 😋 Would come again.
